THE CAREGIVER'S SEA

In a town, down by the sea,
Lived a man, content and free,
With his wife, he lived with glee,
Till fate’s cruel winds changed destinies.
He’d sailed through life with courage high,
A captain bold beneath the sky.
But then, his love fell ill, you see,
And he became her rock, her sanctuary.
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea,
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea.
From carer programmes, he sought advice,
A lifeline thrown in the tempest’s vice.
They taught him patience, strength, and grace,
As he navigated love’s uncharted space.
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea,
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea.
Amidst the waves of worry and strife,
He found solace in the rhythm of life.
Paintbrush in hand, he captured the sea,
A couple on canvas, both wild and free.
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea,
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea.
Healthcare angels whispered hope,
Nurses, doctors — anchors to cope.
Their kindness, a breeze that filled his sails,
As he steered their love through life’s gales.
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea,
We all live in the caregiver’s sea,
The caregiver’s sea, The caregiver’s sea.
Now, as the sun dips low in the west,
He casts his line, finds moments of rest.
Walking, sailing, painting the hues,
Their love’s masterpiece — a life renewed.
